when i want to put my cigar in the humidor is it best to put it with the tube?
i got 2 sigloVI in mu humidor . the 2 two cigar are inside the tubes .i was checking them and i flt they are not soft .should i put them in the humidor without the tube?
Leaving them in the tubes may be okay based on what humidity they are right now but that is unknown. Tubes may have a small amount of air that get's in depending on the lid/seal. Placing the tube in the humidor will make sure the cigar does not get dryer than it may be already.
Taking the cigar outside the tube and placing it in a humidor that has a controlled humidity would be better for a couple of reasons:
1. The cigar is able to breath and absorb proper moisture.
2. The cigar is able to "marry" with other cigars and the cedar lining fr better overall flavor.
3. The cigar will last longer.
Remember, for a cigar to be optimal for smoking, it needs about 14% moisture content and that normally comes from a humidty of around 70%.
