Can you use a keyboard amp for an electric guitar or bass?
I saw a nice 80w keyboard amp for sale and i was wondering if i could use it with an electric guitar or bass
Yes you can use a keyboard amp, but bear in mind that amps for guitar add there own tone from the overdrive and gain whereas a keyboard amp is designed to give an uncoloured clean sound. On the other hand, you may not mind a clean sound, particularly if you use a multi effect pedal that has amp/cabinet effects. In that case, an amp that doesn't add its own tone actually gives better results.
If the amp you have seen is cheap enough, you could always buy something like the Digitech RP155 to give you access to a multitude of amp sounds as well as other effects.
Good luck.
