How to convince mom, 20 gallon fish tank?
We have a 20 gallon fish tank in the basement with everything, a filter, hood, light, stand but my mom thinks it's too hard to clean especially when it's going to go into my room. I will be paying for the fish and for accessories, etc. So, how can i convince my mom to set up the 20 gallon tank? If your answers are good maybe i can show her them.. 
Another thing, how often do you have to clean a 20 gallon fish tank and how do you clean it?
Do all your research on tank and fish care and go to her armed with all the info. She'll be more likely to say yes if she knows you've put a lot of thought in to it.
You should do partial water changes on the tank every week, removing 20-30% of the water and replacing it with conditioned water, as well as rinsing out the filter and using a gravel vac to siphon the gravel every so often. Doing this in conjunction with a good filter system will keep the tank in good condition and eliminate the need for complete clean-outs.
