Landscapers Challenge-will someone really draw up a plan for free?
LOVE HGTV. Watch lanscaper's challenge where they put three designers to the test and they make these amazing plans according to what you budget. Will someone really do this for you for free or is this just a show?
will someone at lowes or home depot design something for you like their cabinet service?
nobody will do it for free. good news is its super easy. the basic premise is that you want to break the lawn/house line, and make your house look like it merges with the landscape. drive around an area where you like their landscaping and take a picture of a layout you like. just remember anything with a square angle will look bad and controlling. swervy curves are what you need. big curves around the corners of your house (where youd put a taller bush or small tree), larger curve back out to your walkway (where you put shorter flowering bushes. keep away from the idea of planting little flowers like plugs. theyre expensive and wont last ten minutes, youll be working on them all the time. in the largest part of your yard, put a kidney shaped panting. use 3 basic plants repeatedly, never plant in odd numbers or on grid lines. if your ground is a checker board, youd plant only red squares.
