knitting board stockinette stitch edges?
I am using a knitting board to create a scarf. The stitch is a stockinette stitch starting with an anchor yarn cast on. As the scarf is getting longer, I've noticed that one side that began with the anchor yarn is tighter than the other side. I went to knittingboard.com to make sure that I am wrapping the yarn correcting, especially paying attention the beginning and towards the end of the row. What I have seen, I'm doing exactly what it says. Is there something I am missing? Any suggestions?
That's the same problem I had. There is a way to get more even edges. Go back to knittingboard.com > to the videos > and scroll way down until you find "Uneven Stitches- How to Correct".
I do a slight variation now... going 2 stitches front then 2 stitches on the back for about 6-8 stitches on the ends.
